The Japanese poet, Ryunosoke Satoro, said, "Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean." When Jesus raised up the first disciples, He must have had a tidal wave in mind. From that first little ragged band of fishermen and tax collectors, who argued over who would be the greatest, a massive wave emerged that is still circling the globe. Christianity was born and leaders were trained and sent out, all in the context of community. In spite of the odds...it happened. And it's no surprise seeing that this is exactly what Jesus prayed for His followers. In the message, "Team Spirit", we will take a closer look at how Jesus viewed community and why it is important for us to live within the same context.
