Personal Representative
Download | Duration: 00:39:53
It is common practice, in planning estates, to appoint a personal representative (commonly called an executor) to carry out the will. Preferably, this is a person that is well acquainted with the wishes and intentions of the deceased. In the inspiring movie, "The Ultimate Gift", the lawyer, friend, and partner of a wealthy man has been chosen to represent his will, including a challenging series of tests for his spoiled, selfish grandson. The grandson happens to hate his grandfather and only wants a quick cash settlement so he can get on with his life. In similar fashion, Jesus chose His disciples, His closest friends, to implement His will in a world that hated Him. And, as we will see in the message, "Personal Representative", the most necessary qualification for the job was intimacy with God. When we truly learn what it means to be friends with God, we are in the best position to help the world see that loving Him is a better choice.Posted by Making Life Count at 6/22/2011
