The idea of respecting authority has fast become obsolete among the majority in a democratically charged society.  But, God, in placing us on planet earth, has placed us in the society of humankind.  Within that society, there must be laws and leaders.  We call our leaders presidents, governors, policemen, teachers, employers, pastors, and Mom and Dad.  And, God expects us to respect them and co-operate with them.  To fail to do so is called rebellion.  Rebellion can make life very heavy.  In the message, "Respect Authority", we'll see how to avoid the heaviness.
