Download | Duration: 00:43:59When you think of a leader, what kind of qualities come to mind? Leaders need wisdom. They need courage and stamina. Leaders need vision and compassion. But, do you know what they need more than anything else? They need to have the heart and attitude of a servant. This is what Jesus taught. If you want to be the greatest, you need to be the servant of all. People who are ambitious for the title of leader need not apply – only those who are eager to serve others. They don’t have to fill in an application, campaign, or run for office…they are chosen. In the message, “Servant Leaders”, we will look at some of the leaders who were chosen in the early beginnings of the church, and the very first assignment they had.

It is a great tool for travelers who want to know such details about a city they plan to visit. Abraham was a traveler. He was looking for a city with good foundations, whose architect and builder was God. In seeking that city, he had certain characteristics that enabled him in the search. In the message, “CitySearch”, we will clarify our own search as we look at four of the characteristics in Abraham’s life that were at the very roots of his obedience
Download | Duration: 00:49:21In the 1990’s, Janie Tinkenberg, mother of seven, and part of the pastoral staff at Peace Lutheran church in Holland, Michigan, began a grassroots movement to help the teenagers in her group to remember the phrase “What would Jesus do?” From there, it spread nationwide among Christian youth, who wore bracelets bearing the initials W.W.J.D. It is a great question. Every believer should ask it about every action or decision in life. Jesus said that He could only do what He saw the Father do. Wouldn’t it be great if we got to the point that we could only do what we saw Jesus do? There’s only one problem – Jesus isn’t around for us to see Him do anything. Yet, in this very complex, modern world, it is more important than ever to know what He would do! Centuries ago, God had the solution. He left the church and the issue of following Jesus in the hands of His disciples. This means that very normal, very fallible followers of His were now responsible for showing Him to the world, developing disciples unto Him, and living godly lives themselves! In the message, The Mentor Factor, we will see how it all began and how we can be a part of the process.

It is not the natural tendency of our flesh to want God’s will. We tend to want our own way more. Even when our hearts have been changed and we begin to want His will, we often come short in carrying it out. There is a reason for this. Something is missing. In the message, “The Grace Factor”, we will see the life changing effect of embracing God’s grace and living in it every day.

You’re intrigued to find out what is on the list since it is signed, “Your Heavenly Father “ As you read it, you are touched that it is written to you personally, and that He wants these things from you! In the message, All I Want for Christmas, we will look at some gifts that we can give our Heavenly Father, not only for Christmas, but each and every day of our lives.
Download | Duration: 00:49:21One of the favorite of all Christmas carols is the one about “Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer”. In the message “The Gospel, According To Rudolph”, Pastor Marc tells the story of how the song came about, and uses it as a modern day parable of the grace of God. You may think that God cannot use you since you have defects. But, you will discover that God not only uses us in spite of our defects, sometimes, He even uses us because of them!
Download | Duration: 00:49:21In 2004, on December 26, an earthquake in the Indian Ocean, with a magnitude of 9.1–9.3, triggered a series of lethal tsunamis. It killed approximately 230,210 people in fourteen countries (including 168,000 in Indonesia alone), making it the deadliest tsunami, as well as one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history. Despite a lag of up to several hours between the earthquake and the impact of the tsunami, nearly all of the victims were taken completely by surprise. There were no warning systems in the Indian Ocean to detect tsunamis or to warn the general populace living around the ocean. The purpose of this message, “Life’s Tsunamis”, is to keep the hearers from being caught off guard when one of life’s catastrophes comes their way. We will look at some things that Jesus said about the subject and how we can respond to it.
Download | Duration: 00:46:21The Thanksgiving holiday is here. Turkeys and hams will be in the ovens, individuals will be travelling to join other family members for the big feast, ballgames will be playing on television sets, couches and recliners will be filled with sports fans, and maybe…just before the meal, someone will ask the blessing and thank God for something. Then it is time to continue the ball games, clean up the dishes, put up the leftover food, have another piece of pumpkin pie, or maybe take a nap. Before you know it, it’s bedtime and Thanksgiving has come and gone. Do you get the picture? It’s a busy day, from start to finish, and then it’s over. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Happy Thanksgiving, God! See you next year!

Do they have their heads down? Maybe they’re shy or fearful. Are they extremely stiff and inflexible? It could indicate pride or anxiety or tension. The way that people carry themselves physically can indicate a lot about how they feel, or what they are like. There are some “postures” for believers that cause us to come across more approachable, more inspiring, more real, or more believable. In the message, Posture, we will look at some of them and the effects they can have on others.
Download | Duration: 00:49:21It takes a work of the grace of God for us to get serious about Jesus, and about serving in His name. Then it takes another work of His grace to keep us from becoming uptight over it: Who’s doing it? Why didn’t I get invited? Are they doing it right? Are they one of us? Am I considered one of them? These concerns can lead to overprotectiveness and/or insecurity. We can become contentious about others who are serving, and ambitious for recognition to prove that our own service is valid. In the message, Uptight Disciples, we will see how the followers of Jesus, John the Baptist, and the contemporaries of Paul were affected by some of these concerns and see how these servants of God handled each issue.

From the buried treasures of the pirates of old, to the economic treasures of the investors on Wall Street, to the simple treasures of the hugs and kisses of children - treasures are everywhere and of every kind. The possibilities expand even further when we consider the wisdom of the old saying, "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Obviously treasure, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Jesus had a good bit to say about this issue. In the message, "Guarding Your Treasure", we will take a look at the different kinds of treasure and the different effects of the environments that surround them.
