Resurrection Transformation

Download | Duration: 00:28:55

We have just finished the Transformed campaign. We have studied spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, relational, financial, and vocational transformation. Today, in celebration of Easter, we look at the root cause of all transformation.  It is the power that moves us from death to life. It is the power that goes on working in us throughout our lifetime. Today…we celebrate that power.

Conquering The Giants In Life And Work...Ben Bonner

Download | Duration: 00:36:30

We ALL have faced, are presently facing, or will one day face a giant that stands in the way of the true transformation God intends for His children. In facing life’s giants, there are some keys we need to know in order overcome the, oftentimes, overwhelming odds that war against God’s dreams and callings in our lives. In the message, “Conquering Giants in Life and Work,” we will take notes from the original GIANT SLAYER himself and learn the essentials of how to move past every obstacle thrown at us, and live a fearless life pursuing excellence in everything we do!

Establishing Financial Health

Download | Duration: 00:27:36

Ahhhh, money! We all could use a little, or maybe a lot! And, we all appreciate it when we have it. Most of us have experienced having some of it, spending some (or all) of it, and then wishing we had some more! In the message, “Establishing Financial Health”, we will look at one of the most unusual, and most easily misunderstood stories that Jesus told about money.  In it, we’ll learn some things NOT to do with money, as well as some important things to remember about how to use it wisely.

Relational Fears

Download | Duration: 00:27:36

What causes people to be distant, defensive, or demanding?  In the message, Relational Fears, we will look at three particular fears that can cause these problems and hinder relationships. These fears can actually keep us from being close to people… the very people God has placed in our lives.  We do not need to avoid them, alienate them, or drive them away from us…we need to learn from our experiences with them.  As we learn God’s way of dealing with these fears, we can establish and deepen true relationships with others, and can better extend the love of God to them.

Dealing With Feelings

Download | Duration: 00:36:09

If you’ve ever heard someone say something like, “I had a bad feeling about that…”, or “I had a good feeling about that…,” they are usually affirming that their feelings proved to be correct. We are much less likely to hear someone say something like, “I had a bad feeling about that, but I WAS WRONG.” We like to think that our feelings are accurate. The truth is…sometimes they are, and sometimes they are far from it. This is an important issue to understand, and as we will see in the message, Dealing With Feelings, there is a balanced and appropriate way to deal with our feelings. God gives us the capacity to feel,  and His Word gives us the wisdom on how to deal with what we feel

Winning

Download | Duration: 00:44:20

A wise woman once said, “You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” Unfortunately, we have an enemy who wants nothing less than to destroy our potential by dominating our lives with fear and lack of focus. How do we really change the way we think? How can our minds be renewed and set free from the tendency to remain restless, which leads to increased vulnerability to sin? In the message, “WINNING THE BATTLE OVER YOUR MIND”, we will discover some potentially transforming truths that can set us up for victory in the battlefield of our own minds!

From Stressed To Blessed

Download | Duration: 00:44:20

Did you know that your physical health can be affected by your spiritual, mental, and emotional health?  We know that the types of food we eat are important to our health. But, it has also been said that what you eat may not be as important as what’s eating you.  Medically speaking, stress has taken its toll on the human body in a number of ways. It has been related to heart disease, asthma, obesity, diabetes, headaches, depression and anxiety, gastrointestinal problems, Alzheimer’s disease, accelerated aging, and even premature death. God has a plan for diminishing the stress in your life. The very reading of one particular Psalm has a stress reducing effect. As we will see in the message, From Stressed to Blessed, the embracing of its truths can eliminate much stress altogether!

Drawing Near

Download | Duration: 00:45:11

The most important change that can take place in anyone’s life is spiritual in nature. When spiritual transformation begins to happen, it is easier for all the other forms to follow. The physical, mental, emotional, relational, financial, and vocational aspects of our lives are much more likely to thrive when the spiritual is in place. In the message, Drawing Near, we will look at some of the things that are necessary on our part for spiritual transformation to happen

Metamorphosis: Radical Life Transformation

Download | Duration: 00:40:10

Next week, we will begin the seven week Transformed campaign. In the coming weeks, in the main service and in the Life Cells, we will be covering seven important areas for healthy transformation in the life of a serious believer.  In today’s message, “Metamorphosis”, we will look at some of the things that a believer must experience in order for true change and spiritual formation to take place

The Dangerous Side Of Ambition

Download | Duration: 00:46:13

Christ Fellowship, as a church family, is about to embark on a new leadership journey. In the coming days, we will be asking for your

suggestions regarding individuals that you think would make good servant leaders. Patterned after the sixth chapter of Acts, where the early

church chose leaders to help care for the needs of the Grecian widows, these will be approved and have hands laid on them by the pastoral

staff. They will help to care for the needs of the body, be a source to receive input from the church family, and serve in areas of their own

personal giftedness. In today's message, "The Dangerous Side Of Ambition", Pastor Marc will address eight wrong paths to power and

authority with the intention of preventing a competitive spirit in the selection and appointment of these new leaders, and establishing a

strong spirit of unity in the body.

Servant Leaders

Download | Duration: 00:43:59

When you think of a leader, what kind of qualities come to mind? Leaders need wisdom. They need courage and stamina. Leaders need vision and compassion. But, do you know what they need more than anything else? They need to have the heart and attitude of a servant. This is what Jesus taught. If you want to be the greatest, you need to be the servant of all. People who are ambitious for the title of leader need not apply – only those who are eager to serve others. They don’t have to fill in an application, campaign, or run for office…they are chosen. In the message, “Servant Leaders”, we will look at some of the leaders who were chosen in the early beginnings of the church, and the very first assignment they had.

On Track

Download | Duration: 00:32:30

There is a perfect plan that God has for ALL of us. Regardless of how sincere we may be, His perfect plan often deviates from our own logic and personal agenda.  Because of our own boxed in view of things we become so distracted by the pressures of life that we lose focus of the promise of God. In the message, “ON TRACK”, we will look at a glorious moment shared between Jesus and three of His disciples, and from that we will see three concrete things that happen to every person who is in the dead center of God’s will.

Faith Building Trials

Download | Duration: 01:19:37

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)

THE NATURE OF TRIALS

TRIALS CAN COME: IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face  trials of many kinds”

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)

TRIALS CAN DEVELOP STRENGTH & STEADFASTNESS

“Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” (cheerful endurance, constancy)

“...my trials come to only make me strong.” Andrea Crouch

STEADFASTNESS IS THE KEY TO MATURITY AND COMPLETENESS

“Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything”

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. (Romans 5:1-5)

CITYSEARCH

Download | Duration: 01:19:37

CitySearch, a site founded by Thomas Layton, is an online city guide that provides information about businesses in the categories of dining, entertainment, retail, travel, and professional services in cities throughout the United States. It is a great tool for travelers who want to know such details about a city they plan to visit. Abraham was a traveler. He was looking for a city with good foundations, whose architect and builder was God. In seeking that city, he had certain characteristics that enabled him in the search. In the message, “CitySearch”, we will clarify our own search as we look at four of the characteristics in Abraham’s life that were at the very roots of his obedience

The Mentor Factor

Download | Duration: 00:49:21

In the 1990’s, Janie Tinkenberg, mother of seven, and part of the pastoral staff at Peace Lutheran church in Holland, Michigan, began a grassroots movement to help the teenagers in her group to remember the phrase “What would Jesus do?” From there, it spread nationwide among Christian youth, who wore bracelets bearing the initials W.W.J.D.  It is a great question. Every believer should ask it about every action or decision in life. Jesus said that He could only do what He saw the Father do. Wouldn’t it be great if we got to the point that we could only do what we saw Jesus do? There’s only one problem – Jesus isn’t around for us to see Him do anything. Yet, in this very complex, modern world, it is more important than ever to know what He would do! Centuries ago, God had the solution. He left the church and the issue of following Jesus in the hands of His disciples. This means that very normal, very fallible followers of His were now responsible for showing Him to the world, developing disciples unto Him, and living godly lives themselves! In the message, The Mentor Factor, we will see how it all began and how we can be a part of the process.

The Grace Factor

Download | Duration: 00:49:21

If you have ever struggled with doing the will of God or with even wanting His will for your life, you are in good company with the rest of us. It is not the natural tendency of our flesh to want God’s will. We tend to want our own way more. Even when our hearts have been changed and we begin to want His will, we often come short in carrying it out. There is a reason for this. Something is missing. In the message, “The Grace Factor”, we will see the life changing effect of embracing God’s grace and living in it every day.

Unfailing Love

Good news for people who blow it
The GOOD news of God’s love story to US:
- GOD CHOSE US
When the Lord first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, “Go and marry a prostitute,[a] so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the Lord and worshiping other gods.” So Hosea married Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, and she became pregnant and gave Hosea a son. Hosea 1:2-3 NLT
- WE ALL DEEPLY NEED THE LOVE OF A HEAVENLY FATHER
I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble[a] into a gateway of hope. She will give herself to me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt. Hosea 2:15 NLT
- GOD MUST LEAVE US WITH NO OTHER OPTIONS
I will destroy Israel as a moth consumes wool. I will make Judah as weak as rotten wood. Hosea 5:12 NLT
- GOD IS NOT MAD AT YOU
Then the Lord said to me, Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them. So I bought her back for fifteen pieces of silver[c] and five bushels of barley and a measure of wine. Then I said to her, You must live in my house for many days and stop your prostitution. During this time, you will not have sexual relations with anyone, not even with me. Hosea 3:1-3 NLT
- GOD IS MADLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!
The Lord says, Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; my love will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone forever. Hosea 14:4 NLT

Jesus' Earthly Family

When God chose to send His Son into the world, do you think it mattered which family He placed Him in?  We can find the answer in the beginning of the Christmas Story. The way Mary and Joseph handled the news of Jesus’ arrival will tell us a lot about the kind of people they were.  God wasn’t about to place Heaven’s Most Valuable Gift in just any home.  He sent word to Mary, who was engaged to Joseph, that she was about to conceive a child by way of the Spirit of God. The way that the two of them handled the news is a reflection on their character and their attitude toward God.  In the message, “Jesus’ Earthly Family”, we will see what they were like, and learn some things from their example.

All I Want For Christmas

Download | Duration: 00:49:21

Imagine that you wake up one morning, head for the kitchen, and find a note in the place where your family leaves information for one another.  It turns out that it is actually a Christmas Wish List. You’re a little surprised, because this particular list is from a member of the family that you thought had just about everything. You’re intrigued to find out what is on the list since it is  signed, “Your Heavenly Father “  As you read it, you are touched that it is written to you personally, and that He wants these things from you! In the message, All I Want for Christmas, we will look at some gifts that we can give our Heavenly Father, not only for Christmas, but each and every day of our lives.

The Gospel According To Rudolph

Download | Duration: 00:49:21

One of the favorite of all Christmas carols is the one about “Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer”. In the message “The Gospel, According To Rudolph”, Pastor Marc tells the story of how the song came about, and uses it as a modern day parable of the grace of God. You may think that God cannot use you since you have defects. But, you will discover that God not only uses us in spite of our defects, sometimes, He even uses us because of them!
